Record  Attendance at Informativa

Yesterday the two-day Education and Career Fair Informativa  successfully closed its doors. At the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre, Informativa witnessed  record number of visitors, 20,000 were able to see the offers of more than 200 Slovenian and foreign educational programs and practical vocational demonstrations. Among them there were around 2,500 pupils from the Ljubljana region, as well as from Murska Sobota, Grosuplje, Krško, Novo mesto, Vojnik, Škofja Loka, Vrhnika, Celje, Cerknica, Sevnica, Škocjan, Trebnje, Žužemberk etc.., who  visited the fair in organized groups.

The organizer would like to thank everyone who has contributed significantly to the realization of the sixth Education and Career Fair Informativa.

Official Opening of Informativa and SloveniaSkills Competition

Informativa opens its doors tomorrow at 9 a.m. and will be open both on Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.


At 11 a.m. OFFICIAL OPENING of the 6th Education and Career Fair INFORMATIVA and of the vocational skills competition SLOVENIASKILLS will take place at the Informativa Forum in Kocka (A2) Hall

Informativa and SloveniaSkills will be opened by dr. Mirko Pečarič, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, mag. Miha Lovšin, WorldSkills Europe Delegate from the Institute of the Republic of Slovenia for Vocational Education and Training (CPI), organizing the SloveniaSkills Competition, and Janez Levec, Director of the company Proevent, organizing the Fair.

For a musical treat Ana Ruf, student of the 4th year of the Anton Aškerc Gymnasium at School Centre Ljubljana will sing Ave Maria in the style of world famous singer Beyoncé.

Informativa Hosts SloveniaSkills

This year's Informativa will be hosting the national competition on vocational skills SloveniaSkills in the fields of floriculture, stonemasonry and informatics. The main goal of the competition is the promotion and positive image of vocations in scarse or shortage occupations or occupations that have a low social reputation.

The competition, in which young participants from 18 to 25 present their skills, expects from participants to have some vocational skills, but the emphasis is on aplicative knowledge since it focuses on developing skills competitions which act as a tool for further developing skills structures in Europe.

SloveniaSkills winners will be representing their vocation and the Republic of Slovenia at the European competition EuroSkills 2014 in Lille, France.
