Record Attendance at this year's Informativa

On Saturday, January 23rd, the largest Education and Career Fair in Slovenia closed its doors. It attracted a record number of visitors in two halls, two lecture rooms, on stage and in various other spaces. In the exhibition spaces, in two days and exactly three weeks before the official open door days, more than 20,000 prospective students, including 2,000 high school students in organized school groups from all over Slovenia, and many adults gathered information about the possibilities of studies or education, enrolment conditions, aptitude tests, employment after leaving school and studies, compulsory practices, as well as parallel studies, High School and University extra-curricular activities and got to know a number of professions directly. In the Ljubljana Biotechnological Centre exhibition space the butcher career profile was presented at Informativa for the first time.

The 8th Informativa was the centre of a wide variety of presentations of educational programmes available in Slovenia and abroad. Among a total of more than 200 educational programmes, more than 40 high school programmes, 43 higher vocational programmes, about 90 faculties, colleges and universities, 14 providers of adult education and other organizations related to employment and scholarships.

The Fair hosted 7 representatives of foreign institutes: School of Tourism Turismusschulen Bad Gleichenberg (Austria), private American High School from Salzburg (Austria), American International School Salzburg (Austria), Business & Hotel Management School from Lucerne (Switzerland), HTMI - Hotel and Tourism Management Institute Switzerland, Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (Austria), University of Klagenfurt (Austria), Millfield English Language Holiday Courses (England) and some providers of study abroad opportunities, among which LV Prospects - Studying in the United States.

 
 

Best Exhibitor Award

Each year at Informativa there is a the Best Exhibitor Award that takes place during the event. Besides many prizes, given by the Organizer, the Best Exhibitor also gets awarded with the transitional stautette - this year's Iva the owl, made by a young artist Aljaž Vidic.

This year's Best Exhibitor Award went to the University of Ljubljana, which presented all it's faculties, their career centres, centre for extra-curricular activities, university's PhD studies, digital library, repository and the international officce.

Iva the owl has landed in the hands of the Best Exhibitor and will remain there until next Informativa, when the new Ebest Exhibitor will be pronounced.

We would like to thank all exhibitors for making an excellent presentation at the fair, and wish all the best to University of Ljubljana.


 
 

Applications for 8th Informativa (2016)

8TH INFORMATIVA
will take place at the Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre (Gospodarsko razstavišče) in Slovenia on Friday and Saturday, 22 and 23 January 2016, exactly three weeks before the national open-door day at schools, faculties, and universities across Slovenia.
 
Five years in a row the Business  Informativa event will also take place. It will take place on Friday, 22 January 2016 where visitors will be able to attend a conference-fair event on business and professional education.
 
After an amazing event, we are also preparing the Unforgettable Moments event (Nepozaben zaključek), where all who offer services and products for final school evemts. The Unforgettable Moments event will take place on Saturday, January 23, 2016.
